After a postponement ashore, the fleets headed out to the race areas at around 1500 hours. Time ashore was spent enjoying a paddle boarding “head-to-head” relay, pitching nations against each other, commented in lively style by Austria’s 2000 Olympic Gold medallist Christoph Sieber.

With a light breeze beckoning, the fleets headed out onto the lake for race day 2 and a scheduled start time of 1100 hours at the 2012 420 World and Ladies World Championship on Lake Neusiedl, Austria.

The 420 Championship season kicks off with the 2012 420 World and Ladies World Championships from 27 July-5 August at the venue of the National Sailing Training Institute in Neusiedl am See, Lake Neusiedl, Austria. The Austrian Sailing Training Institute is a state-of-the-art purpose built sailing centre right at the edge of Lake Neusiedl.
