Development Clinic Qingdao, China - Day 3
On the third day of the 420 Clinic in Qingdao, China unfortunately it was very rainy and windy resulting in the Port Authorities not allowing any boats on the water. We had to adapt a the programme to have all the activities ashore, mainly in the classroom.
Early in the morning the lectures were about coaches qualities, the psychology of a coach, safety when coaching and basic tactical situations mixed with boat handling and racing rules. This included an introduction to a smart app to learn the rules. During one of the breaks we did a lucky draw of the boat parts, T-shirts and sailing gloves provided by our supporter Allen. These were well received by all the participants.
In the afternoon, as there was very bed weather, we did our group photo and then, a session on the essential things for sailors to do know about 420 sailing.. Finishing the day there was a recap of the best videos from the previous day. We are hoping for better weather tomorrow.
