United 4 is onto Event 2
Solid sailing secures a great conversion for Quinten Lootens/Stijn van Hoye (BEL)at event 2 of United 4, as they secured a series win, up from a third place in event 1. Pieter Goedhart/Lars van Stekelenbourg (NED) finished third in event 2, down from their first place success in event 1.
Event 2 was raced off the IJsselmeer and hosted by ZV Workum over 5-6 May 2012, in predominantly light winds and overcast skies. Twelve teams contested even t 2 of 4 on the United 4 circuit, with three nations contesting the title.
Finishing in second place were Belgium’s Thomas van den Bossche/Vince Dergent, with top girls’ team being the Netherlands’ Marianne Pijlman/Nienke Jorna in fourth overall.
The race wins were spread across the fleet, with consistent sailing ruling.
