420 Girls teams in charge
420 Girls Take Gold and Silver at Athens Eurolymp
Eleftheria Georgakopoulou/Marietta Moraitou dominated the twenty -seven teams competing at the 2013 Athens Eurolymp Week, to win the series with an 8 point margin over fellow girl’s team, Katerina Tavoulari/Goreini Doutsoumpou. Just one point behind were the 420 boys team of Vasiliki Bei/Dimitrios Karavas.
Aside from an unlucky 13 result in race 7, which was discarded, Georgakopoulou/Moraitou notched up a string of results all in the top 5, for some really consistent sailing.
The 10 race series was sailed in predominantly light wind. No wind on the final day cancelled the scheduled racing, and the results from the previous day held.
