Women & Youth coming through in R4&5 at Melbourne
Youth team, Matthew Jerwood & Patrick Vos took Sunday’s first race (R4), from women’s youth team, Lauren Thredgold & Megan Soulsby, with Whittington & Sharpe in 3rd. In Race 5, Samuel Kivell & Max Taylor were back on top with Edward Campbell & James Omay in 2nd and Henry Say & James Owen-Smith in 3rd, but with three women’s teams close on their heals.
No cumulative results to the end of Sunday’s racing yet posted, but it looks like lots of open competition! But, with a 5th in R4, Kivel & Taylor have probably held their own, and Whittington & Sharpe’s 7th in R5 will have also kept them in the running.
Oh, by the way, winners of the 420 Junior Europeans 2007 and the SEA Games 2007 in the 420, Justin Liu & Sherman Cheng of Singapore are leading the Australian 29er Nationals after 6 races!
