The Worlds 2008 Championship website went live at the beginning of January.

As well as the Notice of Race and information about transportation, accommodation and charter boats, it has a couple of aerial photographs of the venue - at the Marina Delta Falirou in the Faliron Olympic 2004 Coastal Zone Complex. The one to be found in “Photos” shows the site of the event (Nautical Club of Tzitzifies - Kallithea) in relation to Athens, Piraeus and Paleo Faliro. The event website also has a helpful link to instructions on driving to the venue from the ferry port of Patra (see link at bottom of home page).

We asked Niki Anastasiou of the Worlds Organising Committee for some more information about where the venue is situated and some hints on how to get around - see attached Information Note. We also found lots of useful information and photos by googling the Olympic sites, and the Athens Tourism website is helpful (with a useful description of the tram stops).

Καλή ναυσιπλοϊ'α στην Αθήνα! Good sailing in Athens! In the meantime, all coaches will be testing their sailors on their knowledge of the Greek alphabet.
