ALL EVENT INFORMATION

Quantum Sails BYC Kupa marked Event 4 of the 420 Sail Centrop Cup, a series of events targeting 420 sailors in both Austria and Hungary

Fifteen 420 teams took to the water and no surprise to see the top two Hungarian teams from the 420 Junior Europeans dominating the fleet.

In early August, Szabolcs Wolf/András Csébfalvi (HUN) finished 42nd at the Junior Europeans, with the next best placed Hungarian team being Liza Formanek/Luca Kalmár in 69th. Formanek/Kalmar gave their rivals a run for their money over the weekend, knocking out a 3,2,2 finish to match the overall points score of Wolf/Csébfalvi. A win in race 2 gave Wolf/Csébfalvi the tiebreak win, second to Formanek/Kalmar.

Bálint Kocsis/András Pavlik, who finished 19th overall in the U17 420 Junior Europeans, completed the podium in third place, just 1 point behind the leading two teams.

A light breeze filled in across Lake Balaton, so tricky and shifty conditions with every manoeuvre counting.
