South Africa's Southern Charter Grand Slam Series Kicks Off
In a repetition of their opening form from last year, brothers Eben Vivier/Johann Vivier (RSA) seized a clean sweep of the leaderboard at the opening event of the Southern Charter Grand Slam Series in South Africa over the weekend of 19-20 September.
The siblings controlled the nine-boat 420 fleet in the 7-race series taking 4 wins to secure victory with a 7 point advantage over Duante Petersen/Shannon Cupido.Finishing in third were David Jacobs/Daniel Agulhas, with the top place girls team of Anke Van Rooyen/Lea Smit featuring in 5th place.
The four stage event is contested over four weekends in 2015 and 2016 and features the 420 fleet alongside a range of other classes.
Southern Charter Grand Slam Series Event 2 takes place on 5-6 December 2015.
