Nine 420s compete in Event 3 of the Southern Charter Grand Slam Series
Eben Vivier/Johann Vivier totally outshone the competition in the nine-boat 420 fleet at event 3 of the Southern Charter Grand Slam series, which took place at Hermanus Yacht Club on 31 January-1 February 2015.
Their second event win so far at this year's Southern Charter Grand Slam Series.
Six races and the Viviers won five of them, to win with a 5 point margin over second placed Duane Petersen/Fayaud Shaik who one the only other race. Third to David Jacobs/Daniel Agulhas.
The 2014/2015 series kicked off with event 1 at Mossel Bay Yacht and Boat Club from 4-6 October, with the win to the Viviers. On 6-7 December, event 2 was at Theewater Sports Club with victory going to David Jacobs/Daniel Agulhas.
The Southern Charter Grand Final will be held at False Bay Yacht Club from 3-6 April 2015 and incorporate the South African 420 National Championships.
