International 420 line-up for Oceania Championships in New Zealand
Argentina, Australia and Japan confirmed to be visiting New Zealand 1 – 6 June for Oceania Championships and training on the edge of 2016 Youth Worlds water and planned race course.
For both Ladies and Open Teams there are significant training benefits. The NZ 420 Association are hosting the 2016 420 Oceania Championship 5-6 June, preceded by a training clinic immediately beforehand, from 3-4 June. The clinic will take place close to the racing area which will be used later this year for World Sailing’s 2016 Youth Sailing World Championship, hosted by Yachting New Zealand at Torbay Sailing Club. Other countries are reviewing invitations to visit New Zealand.
Argentinian sailors Camila Barletta and Micaela Del Pero are excited to be racing Australia, Japan and New Zealand on New Zealand's Youth Trials waters, whilst Japan are bringing three teams to New Zealand,
The Youth 420 regatta is an opportunity for Youth World’s Teams to gain familiarity at a pre-Worlds regatta, and for developing 420 teams to gain experience of training in an international fleet.
