Two more races on day 2 of the IBI British 420 Open and National Championships and it is the all female team of Jess Lavery/Georgie Mothersele who steam into the lead with a 3,4 posting, just 2 points ahead of the second placed boat.

Two more races on day 2 of the IBI British 420 Open and National Championships and it is the all female team of Jess Lavery/Georgie Mothersele who steam into the lead with a 3,4 posting, just 2 points ahead of the second placed boat. Holding firm in second overall are Michael Wood/Hermione Stanley with an eighth followed by a race win.

Day 1 leader, Neil Marsden, who is normally found coaching the 420 sailors, posted a 13,3 to drop down to third overall with crew Hannah Mitchell.

The PRO summarised day 2 in a single word: 'difficult'. There were some big shifts, challenging conditions, and some excellent starting under black flag.
