Final results in Miami - 2022 US Midwinter Championship
It came down to the final race at the 2022 US I420 Midwinters.
Reigning U17 Open World Champion Freddie Parkin, sailing with new crew Asher Beck, tied with Peter and Audrey Foley for the top spot - with Freddie and Asher winning on the tie-breaker.
In the battle for the top women's team, Ava Hurwitz/Alexis Young came on strong in the last 3 races to move up the leaderboard and take the top women's spot and 4th overall.
Racing was very tight in the 24-boat fleet, with the podium determined in the last of 10 races.

This was the final US qualifying regatta for 420 Worlds and 420 Jr. Europeans, and the first of two US qualifiers for 2022 Youth Worlds.
Thanks to Miami YC and Florencia Barletta for hosting our event again this year - which they've so graciously done for many years. And to PRO Carol Ewing and her RC team for getting off nine races over the 3-day holiday weekend.
