Arnaud Herail/Paco Lepoutre Wrap up Win at French Interligue
Three wins fromfive races was more than enough to give Arnaud Herail/Paco Lepoutre the series win at the Interligue 420 - Port du Crouesty over the weekend of 28-29 March 2015.
One of a series of French regional events, the racing was a bit of a mission of survival as the race course was battered by 20-25 knot breeze and big waves. A full programme of 5 races, 3 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday, put the 25 competing teams from Brest, La Rochelle, Nantes, Paris their paces.
Finishing just one point behind Herail/Lepoutre, were Alexandre Demange/Maxime Roux, with Theo Carayon/Erwan Lucas in third. Top placed girls team were Charlotte Yven/Marine Riou in 4th overall.
The event was a good tune-up and training regatta ahead of 2015 Coupe Internationale Méditerranéenne de l'Amitié (CIMA) which will be the selector event for teams hoping to represent France at the 2015 420 World and Ladies World Championships and 2015 420 Junior European Championships.
