2014 Vorarlberg State Championship Wrap up in Austria
Eighteen teams from Austria, Germany and Switzerland descended on Yacht Club Bregenz in Austria for the annual Vorarlberg State Championship.
Perfect weather with a steady 8-10 knot breeze from the south on Saturday saw three races completed and a straight line of wins going to brothers Michael Lausecker/Alexnder Lausecker (AUT), before a looming storm forced the fleet ashore.
Three more races on Sunday again saw the brothers dominate the race track, with a 2,1,4 scoreline to end the Championship on 6 points, carrying a 9 point advantage over David Lucan/Oliver Kobale (AUT). Marco Baumann/Johannes Reder (AUT) finished in 3rd, with the top girls team of Carolin Scrimper/CharlottaFritz from Germany in 4th.
