The pair knocked out an impressive display of consistency, with their worst score of 6th place discarded, and counted three race wins.

The battle of second place saw Switzerland's Maxime Bachelin/Arno de Planta locking horns with Jan Borbet/Lea Borbet of Germany, with the podium being decided on the last race. A race win to the Swiss and disappointing 11th to the Germany's propelled Bachelin/de Planta ahead by 1 point and gave them second place overall. Third to the Borbet sisters also positioned them as the top overall girls team.

Second placed girls team were Inga-Marie Hofmann/Henrike Leitl (GER) in 15th overall.

A massive line-up of 114 teams contested the title, with the strong German fleet joined by teams from Switzerland.

The event was hosted at Kieler Yacht Club, 14-16 May 2016.
