The International two-person dinghy for young sailors

Skoczek & Soler lead an early French assault on the Gran Prix at Blanes

After two races on Saturday, Gabriel Skoczek & Thibault Soler of Y.C. Mauglio-Carnon (FRA) are in the lead by a point, with Martir Bertrand & Emile Trevisanut (FRA) and Sacha Pelisson & Nicolas Rossi (FRA) are in 2nd and 3rd, both on 7 points, with the Cataluña team, Jordi Xanmar & Joan Herp (ESP) in 4th on 8 pts. Imogen & Hermione Stanley (GBR) lead the Women in 5th overall on 9 pts.

STOP PRESS: We have recruited a special correspondent in Blanes, who has a full view of the racing from her balcony! She reported on Saturday night: "Two races today; 3rd cancelled at the windward mark. Lots of starting practice with general recalls for every start. 9-10 knors, overcast, 12 degrees. 80 Europes, 30 420s, 8 nations in all. Great lunch served to competitors at the end of the racing". [Thanks Carla. We already complemented CV Blanes on their catering again; this is commented upon favourably each year - and shown by the official photographer again on the Photo News]. Also, Jose Luís Yubero Rodriguez from CV Blanes says he is confident about wind for Sunday! (well, event organisers always are!)
