Hosted at the Royal Canadian Yacht Club, young sailors aged 14 to 18 competed from 28-31 August on the waters of Lake Ontario in Toronto. After a few days of low breeze and little races, better winds of 8-15 knots on the final day provided ideal conditions to close out the championship.

Tate Howell/Madeline Gillis opened their scorecard with back to back wins, and repeated on the final day with two more victories. The four races inbetween delivered finishes of 3,3,2,4, and with the 4th place discarded, the pair easily sailed their way to gold medals. They were Canada's representatives to the Youth Sailing World Championships this year, finishing 17th in the international field, before heading to the 420 Worlds in Newport, Rhode Island, and their international experience has helped boost their form.

Second overall to Maya Heidenriech/Elsie Gillis, 3 points behind the leaders, and third to John Gogan/David Frost.
