James Turner & Logan Dunning Beck are holding off a serious threat from Chris Steele and Thomas Saunders, with their run of 4 bullets. It looks like Khairunnisa Afendy & Norashikin Sayed (MAS) are leading the women, in 6th overall.

Julia Hamilton & Thomas Borrmann, on home waters, are leading the “restricteds” (what a title for these guys!!), while Gen Saunders & Holly McHardie and Robyn Caundle & Laura Tushingham, challengers from Tauranga, are in 2nd and 3rd. We hope the winds are fair for the other guys today!

Pending any further detail from Anthea Dunning, Christine Hansen (holding the fort at the NZL 420 Class
website, though sadly not with her camera at Murrays Bay!) has added the following (probably wired to her by the 470 guys who were out racing too on Friday): “Strong winds from the south to south west were characteristically shifty as it whipped in over the fringes of the North Shore of Auckland. After a summer of light winds, conditions tested the fleet, but James Turner and Logan Dunning Beck hold onto first position after a strong challenge from Chris Steele and Thomas Saunders”.

But we have series results for both the Open Fleet and the ‘Restricted’ Fleet.
