Racing on the murky waters of the Rio Plate is renowned as a tricky and challenging race track, but putting in a fine display of mastering the waters were Fausto Peralta/Martin Arroyo Verdi, who succesfully defended their 2016 title. The silt from the delta turns the water brown, making it very hard to physically see the breeze on the water.

The pair knocked out back to back wins in races 9, 10 and 11, rewarding themselves with sufficient margin to not sail the last race, and win by 1 point over Ignacio Queirel Juan/Imanol Bilasetru, who themselves took the final race win. Third to Nicolas Radovitzky/Martin Radovitzky. Top girls’ helm was Camila Barletta with crew L Miranda in 7th.

Fausto Peralta/Martin Arroyo Verdi kicked off their 2016/2017 season with a win at the Argentina 420 Youth Championship in early December, picked up bronze medal at the Youth Sailing World Championship, scored another win at the 2017 Semana Internacional de Yachting de Mar del Plata and now rack up a successive victory to add to their packed trophy cabinet.
