Organized under the patronage of the Yacht Racing Association of Thailand, racing was held across multiple youth and Olympic classes from Optimist through to 470 and Nacra 17.

Malaysia's 420 sailors dominated the race track, and made it a battle for first and second place in the ten-boat fleet. Muhamud Faujib/Omar Ac Faroue kicked off their regatta with back to back race wins, before slipping down to claim two 4th places, allowing other teams to move into front of fleet finishes. The pair returned to form, racking up another 4 race wins, for a total of 6 from the 9 race series, to claim overall victory.

Muhammad Dyafie Binali/Ikrami H Akimin Bin Markham chased hard through every race, but could not find the pace to overhaul Faujib/Ac Faroue, and finished in second place, just 4 points off the leaders.

Thailand's top placed team were Jedtavee Younguennam/Chakkaphat Wiriyakitti in thrid overall, with 4th overall and top placed women's team going to Malaysia's Nor Nabila Natasha/Gabrielle Marygrace.

The next 420 Class event in Thailand will be 2019 Top of the Gulf Regatta, 30 April-5 May 2019.
