FIRST EVER 420 CLINIC KICKS OFF IN MYANMAR
The first ever 420 Clinic has got underway at Yangon Sailing Club in Myanmar attracted a keen line-up of 5 coaches and 26 sailors.
Taking place from 7-11 September the Clinic is led by the well-known Nikos Drougkas (GRE), who has worked with the 420 Class producing our training material “420 to the Max” and the “420 Exercise e-Book” of performance improvement exercises.
Today, Jose Massapina (POR), 420 Class Vice-President for Development, welcomed participants and formally opened the clinic with an introduction on the 420 Class. Take a look at the presentation - please note that this document can be supplied in high resolution, email office@420sailing.org to request a copy.
In very hot and humid weather, Nikos Drougkas then led the coaches and sailors through on-shore exercise to practice tacking and trapeze techniques, before taking to the water in the afternoon.
Organized with the support of the Myanmar Yachting Federation, the clinic will help to improve the skill level of both coaches and sailors in the region.
The Clinic in Myanmar is the first in a series of Clinics which are being held in South America, Asia and Europe, including a High Level Coaches Clinic in Italy from 1-5 October, for which registration is still open.
