Edoardo Ferraro and Francesco Orlando win Young Sailor of the Year Award
At an Awards Presentation on Friday 6 May, the achievements of Ithe talian 420 team of Edoardo Ferraro and Francesco Orlando were rewarded with the presentation of the "Young Sailor of the Year Award" at the TAG Heuer VELAFestival, an Italian event dedicated solely to sailing.
Held at Santa Margeherita Ligure, the event is a national celebration of sailing. In the Sailor Awards, chievements in different categories were presented with Ferraro/Orlando nominated for the “Young Sailor of the Year Award” for their dominant win at the 2015 U17 420 World Championship in Karatsu Bay, Japan last year. Up against an impressive line-up of young sailors and teams, the pair came out well on top.
In a few months’ time, the Ferraro/Orlando will be back on form at the 2016 420 World Championships, 15-23 July in Sanremo, Italy.
