The participating coaches and sailors from the Cook Islands, Fiji, Samoa and New Zealand first practised on-shore simulation of gybing with spinnaker and trapezing. Moving onto the water their new skills were tested, with mark rounding added into the mix under the watchful eye of 420 Class Coach Nikos Drougkas (GRE).

The day’s sessions ended in the classroom with a video debrief and pointers on improvements. Day 3 on Thursday will see the sessions move to race strategy and the Racing Rules of Sailing. Find out more about the Clinic Programme.
