The opening stage of Athens Eurolymp Week featured racing for the Olympic Classes, before the youth class racing kicked off on Sunday 24 April through to Wednesday 27 April. The thirty-six teams from Cyprus, Greece and Malaysia, raced as an open fleet, with mixed, boys and girls teams up against each other.

Malaysia's pairing of Uzair Amin Muhamad/Qib Eiman Na took an early lead, winning the first two races, but were then left mid-fleet for races 4 and 5, which put them in a fightback situation. As the Malaysians fought back, Greece's Evaggelia Drouga/Eua Maria Vardali took over the leaderboard, winning races 3, 4 and 5. At the half-way stage of the regatta, the young girls team were looking decidedly assured, but there was no let-up in their performance. The pair went on to claim an convincing win, finishing 17 points clear of their closest challenger.

Chasing hard were Vasilis Gourgiotis/Orestis Mpatsis, who finished in second overall, with Malaysia in third.
