COACHES AND SAILORS CLINIC UNDERWAY IN CZECH REPUBLIC
This first ever 420 Coaches and Sailors Clinic in the Czech Republic is taking place from 25- 29 September at Jachetní klub Černá v Pošumav
Kick-off day on Monday 25 September focused on thekey task of boat preparation and rigging. Under the watchful eye of lead coach, Nikos Drougkas, the sailors and coaches prepared their boats ahead of the morning on-shore session of tacking and roll-tacking. The helms and crews took part in separate sessions, with skills being put to the test with a “blindfold” session.
After lunch, the coaches and sailors took to the water and repeated everything learnt in the morning session. Light, shifty conditions and a bit of a chill proved a perfect test of tacking precision.
Back ashore after supper, a video debrief took place with Nikos and the participants highlighting mistakes and how to improve.
The five day clinic will focus on sharing extensive knowledge and smart methods of transferring learning and techniques to sailors to achieve their training and racing aspirations. The clinic is split into morning and afternoon sessions, with a mix of class room theory and on the water practical, including:

- Mark Rounding
- Tactics and Race Strategy
