420 TALENT ROCKS THE FLEET AT 470 JUNIOR WORLDS

The 2017 470 Junior World Championships, hosted at Enoshima, Japan from 26 August-2 September was packed with former 420 Class talent.

The 2014 420 Junior World Champions and 2014 Junior European Champions, Hippolyte Machetti/Sidoine Dantes (FRA) came out victorious with Spain's Silvia Mas/Paula Barcelo defending their 2016 470 Junior World title. Third to the 2015 420 World Champion, Daichi Takayama with his crew Naoya Kimura. The 2012 Junior European Champions, Guillaume Pirouelle/Valentin Sipan (ITA) finished third.

Ilaria Paternoster (ITA) who won the 2013 Junior European Championships finsihed third with crew Bianca Caruso - and there were plenty more 420 stars in the mix too ... take a look at the results.

Epic racing on the same waters that hosted the 1964 Olympic Games and will host the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympics saw many of the future Olympians pacing out the race track as the countdown to Tokyo gains pace.
