420 SOUTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS CONTINUE TO FAVOUR LIGHT WIND SPECIALISTS

It was more of the same on race day 2, Friday 30 March, at the 2018 420 South American Championships as the weather conditions served up a repeat of Thursday's opening day with the breeze favouring the light wind specialists.

ALL EVENT INFORMATION

A one hour postponement for teams, before a light breeze of 6-7 knots filled in from the east. Again a strong current made it difficult to round marks and erring on the side of caution was the best policy.

Scores of 3,3,1 pushed Maria Victoria Montalvano/Paloma Gutierrez from Argentina into the lead, with a 5 point advanage over Leonardo Lombardi/Felipe Toledo from Brazil, with Guido Visconti/Stefano Motta (BRA) another 5 points behind in third.
