420 Coaches' Clinic - October 2014
Each 420 National Class Association is invited to nominate 2 coaches to participate in the International 420 Class Coaches’ Clinic taking place in Campione, Italy from 2-5 October.
CLINIC AIM
The clinic will be a mix of shore side theory and on-the-water practical sessions to teach training techniques, led by specialists from each area, with topics including:
• Tactics
• Strategy
• Skills Setting
• Boat Preparation
• Training Exercises
• Running a training programme
• Effective Briefing/Debriefing
• Racing Rules and Race Management
• Video Skills
• Psychology and Physiology
• And more …
The 420 Coaches’ Clinic will be limited to 25 coaches who must be current 420 Class Coaches approved by their National 420 Class Association.
COST
The registration fee is 150€ per coach, which includes food and accommodation (provided on site), and transport to/from Campione from nearby airports (Milano Orio al Serio and Milano Linate) and local train stations (Brescia Railway Station or Rovereto/Trento) .
APPLY
Applications shall only be made by 420 National Class Associations and will initially be restricted to 2 Coaches from each nation. Any additional places will be allocated on a first come/first served basis. APPLICATION FORMS WILL BE SENT DIRECTLY TO EACH NATIONAL CLASS ASSOCIATION BY WEEK ENDING 24 AUGUST.
