420 CLASS HEADS TO CHINESE TAPEI FOR COACHES AND SAILORS CLINIC
Continuing our programme of Coaches and Sailors Clinics around the world, the 420 Class is pleased to announce that from 15-19 August 2019 we will be heading to Chinese Taipei for a 5-day clinic under the expertise of Nikos Drougkas (GRE).
The Clinic is open to coaches and sailors of all youth classes. The maximum number of entries accepted will be 30 (coaches and sailors). If the clinic is over-subscribed, entries will be limited at the discretion of the organisers. NCAs and MNAs should indicate the order of priority of their coaches and sailors. All entries must be endorsed by their relevant NCA or MNA.
The aim of the Clinic is to share knowledge and coaching techniques, with sessions delivered by specialists in a mix of shore side theory and on-the-water practical sessions.
The essential costs of the Clinic are being met by the International 420 Class Association, with participating coaches and sailors required to cover their transport, accommodation and meals.
The Clinic will be a mix of on-water sessions, lectures, exercises and presentations, and topics will include:
• Skills Setting
• Boat Preparation
• Training Exercises
• Running a training programme
• Effective Briefing/Debriefing
• Racing Rules and Race Management
• Video Skills
• Psychology and Physiology
• And more …
The Clinic will be a mix of on-water sessions, lectures, exercises and presentations. Please take a look at the Clinic Programme and General Conditions and submit your Entry Form by the deadline of 5 August 2019.
