2020 EUROSAF 420 RACE CIRCUIT – DATES FOR YOUR DIARY
Launched in 2019, the inaugural EUROSAF 420 Race Circuit was a huge success, attracting over 324 teams competing across the three age/gender categories, with 140 U19 men/mixed teams, 81 women U19 teams and 103 U17 teams.
The first year of the EUROSAF 420 Race Circuit featured 5 events in 5 different European nations. Victory went to Switzerland’s Natascha Rast/Samira Rast in the women, Germany’s Jonathan Steidle/Leonardo Honold in the Open and France’s Ange Delerce/Timotee Rossi in the U17. Aong with the glory of event victory the winning teams also received an entry invite to the Junior Europeans, over and above the quotas places for their nation, and the entry fee was waived. After the success of the first year’s circuit, no surprise, that the International 420 Class Association will continue its partnership with EUROSAF to run the 2019/2020 EUROSAF 420 Race Circuit, kicking off in September 2019 with Event #1 at the Swiss 420 National Championships in Oberhofen, Switzerland from 26-29 September 2019.

- Event #3: Athens International Sailing Week - Athens, Greece - 8-10 November 2019
- Event #4: Imperia Winter Regatta - Imperia, Italy - 5-8 December 2019
The 2020 events and event dates will be announced soon. The 2019/2020 EUROSAF 420 Race Circuit will include up to 10 events around Europe, spread evenly geographically around the continent, with just one event per country.
The 2019/2020 EUROSAF 420 Race Circuit will run from September 2019 to June 2020, with the winning team in the overall U19 division, the U17-division as well as the best women´s team awarded a free entry to the 2020 Junior European Championships, 25 July-1 August, hosted at Warnemunder Segel-Club in Germany. The free entry is in addition to their respective nation’s entry quota.
