2018 420 CLASS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME KICKS OFF IN THE BAHAMAS
A packed year of development programmes, which will see the International 420 Class Association run a range of initiatives, including Coaches and Sailors Clinics, as well as "have a go" opportunities and Championship support from expert 420 Class coaches, kicks off in Nassau, Bahamas with a 420 Class Coaches and Sailors Clinic from 15-18 March 2018.
Head coach will be Steve Keen (NZL), who is well-known on the International 420 Class circuit with many years experience, and has worked in the USA for many years.
The Clinic is open to coaches and sailors of all youth classes from the Bahamas and other Caribbean countries. The maximum number of entries accepted will be 30 (coaches and sailors). If the clinic is over-subscribed, entries will be limited at the discretion of the organisers. NCAs and MNAs should indicate the order of priority of their coaches and sailors. All entries must be endorsed by their relevant NCA or MNA.
The aim of the Clinic is to share knowledge and coaching techniques, with sessions delivered by specialists in a mix of shore side theory and on-the-water practical sessions.
The essential costs of the Clinic are being met by the International 420 Class Association, with participating coaches and sailors required to cover their transport, accommodation and meals.
The Clinic will be a mix of on-water sessions, lectures, exercises and presentations. Please take a look at the Clinic Programme and General Conditions and submit your Entry Form by the deadline of 12 March 2018.
