Sailors from twenty countries and five continents have now arrived at the Real Club Nautico de Gran Canaria, in Las Palmas for the start of the International 420 World and Ladies World Championships.

Sailors from twenty countries and five continents have now arrived at the Real Club Nautico de Gran Canaria, in Las Palmas for the start of the International 420 World and Ladies World Championships. Among the 332 sailors are many sailors coming directly from the ISAF Youth World Championships, including Gold medallists Belinda Karl and Chelsea Hall (AUS). They are joined by more experienced sailors from around the world, amongst whom are the Olympic 470 sailor, Shelley Hesson (NZL), and former 470 World Champion Simon Cooke (NZL).

The organisation is well underway with measurement starting tomorrow (Friday) and racing on Sunday.
