ISAF Youth Worlds 2009 to be held in Brazil

The ISAF Youth World Championship Sub-Committee supported the bid from Brazil to host the 2009 ISAF Youth Worlds, and subject to Council approval and final contract arrangements, Buzios, two hours north of Rio de Janeiro, is set to host the first ever ISAF Youth Worlds in South America.

Xanmar & Herp (Cataluña) win at Blanes, with Stanleys (GBR) 2nd and 1st women

With two further races on Monday to make a five race series, the 2009 Gran Prix at Blanes came to a conclusion. Jordi Xanmar & Joan Herp of Cataluña won the regatta, having moved into first place after Race 3 and with a perfect scoreline of bullets after R1 had been discarded.

Jordi Xanmar & Joan Herp(Cataluña), scoring another bullet in the only race on Sunday, took the lead on 9 points. Martir Bertrand & Emile Trevisanut (FRA) held their place in 2nd, but on equal 14 points with Imogen & Hermione Stanley.
