Some great photos of former 420 sailors who were competing at the 2012 Olympic Sailing Competition, including:

470 Men
Australia – Mat Belcher/Malcolm Page won the Olympic Gold Medal in the 470 Men. Belcher was the 2004 420 World Champion with brother Daniel, whilst in 2004 Page won the 420 World Championships with helm Nathan Wilmot.

Portugal - Álvaro Marinho/Miguel Nunes – Nunes was the 1996 420 World Champion with helm M. Fortuna.

Spain – Onan Barreiros/Aaron Sarmiento - Barreiros was the 2004 420 Junior European Champion with helm Jose Antonio Medina Ruiz.

470 Women
Australia - Elise Rechichi/Belinda Stowell – Rechichi was the first lady with Tessa Parkinson at the 2004 420 World Championships. Stowell was the 1995 420 Ladies World Champion with helm Anna Coxon.

Great Britain - Hannah Mills/Saskia Clark – Mills was the first lady with Peggy Webster at the 2005 Junior and 2006 European Championships and they won the 2006 420 Ladies World Championship.

Israel – Gil Cohen/Vered Buskila – back in 1998 Buskila was the 420 Ladies World Champion with helm L. Kliger.

New Zealand – Jo Aleh/Olivia Powrie are the 2012 Olympic Gold Medallists, but it was only in 2007 that the pair won the 420 Ladies World Championship

49er
New Zealand - Peter Burling/Blair Tuke (NZL) are the Olympic Silver Medallists in the 49er. Peter Burling with helm Carl Evans was the 420 World Champions in 2006 and 2007 and 2006 Junior Open European Champions
