The International 420 Class runs a range of development and support programmes to support sailors, coaches and the overall development of the class. Recent activities include Coaching Seminars, On-Site Coaching at 420 Championships and Regional Games, Contintental Training Programmes, training materials, promotional events to introduce the 420 to the next generation of sailors and racing clinics. 2012 South American Clinic - 26-30 December 2012
20 Coaches and Sailors are invited to join the 2012 International 420 Class Christmas Clinic
Date: 26-30 December 2012 - just before the 420 South American Championship

26 December Day 1 - Boat handling
27 December Day 2 - Tune up (on shore), Trimming (on the water) and Races
28 December Day 3 - Starts and Races
29 December Day 4 - Starts, Strategy and Races
30 December Day 5 - Rules, Tactics and Races
- The theory and the programme can be changed depending on the level and the number of the sailors.
- Only sailors and boats registered before clinic start will be accepted on the clinic.
- All boats shall provide valid insurance during registeration (as also required by the Championship).
- During the 2013 420 South America Championship (2-6 January 2013) Nick Drougkas will follow the races
and give a daily debriefing.

5th European Coaches Seminar - 25-28 June 2012
The International 420 Class Association, in collaboration with the Russian Yachting Federation, is organising the 5th European Coaches Seminar at the Yacht Club Khimik, Togliatti, Russia, from 25-28 June 2012.
This Clinic continues the class' development strategy, and the objective of the Seminar is to share knowledge and information on best practice for technical, tactics, organizational and other training information with 420 coaches.
The lead coach of the seminar will be the renowned Jim Saltonstall MBE from Great Britain. CLICK HERE for full information.
